About this game
Uprooted is a 2D platformer that explores themes of assimilation and heritage loss common to immigrant narratives by forcing the player to sacrifice abilities in order to progress through the world. As part of a fully POC team completely new to game development, we drew heavily from our own experiences and those of our parents to craft this game.
